Reclining Options Explained

So you’re in the market for a new recliner. With so many options out there, it can be daunting to decide which recliner best fits your needs. At Steinhafels, we want to make this process a bit easier and help you make a more informed decision. We’ve broken recliners into 6 categories to better help you begin or finish your reclining purchase.

Manual Reclining

Manual reclining is the most traditional and familiar option. This is where the footrest is operated by a manual lever located on the piece. Some manual recliners offer multiple reclining points, so there can be a small level of customization in reclining options. This option is ideal for those who may not have an electrical outlet near their furniture’s placement, and who want to have the lowest maintenance possible.

Lift Chairs

Lift chairs are designed to meet you in the middle as you come in and leave the seat. An electric motor lifts the chair to about a 45-degree position, allowing for ease of entry and exit. These chairs are ideal if you’re looking for a piece of furniture designed for limited mobility, or just want to have half the work of getting up done for you.

Power Footrest

Power footrest is familiar to many people as the standard power option. This option has an electric motor(s) to raise or lower the footrest. This option is ideal for those who want to have a more luxurious and customizable reclining experience.

Power Footrest + Headrest

Power footrest and headrest offer the same benefits as the power footrest, but with the option of reclining for your head. Some people find that this is beneficial for watching your favorite television shows while reclined due to the customization of the recline angle. Allows someone who is reclined back to look forward-such as toward the tv- without straining the head or neck.

Fully Loaded

Fully loaded is a Steinhafels moniker for our recliners that have triple power. This is a power footrest, power headrest, and power lumbar. This option is best for those who need extra lower back support and want all of the benefits of a power headrest and footrest.

Fully Loaded +

Fully Loaded + is our top-of-the-line option which offers all the benefits of Fully Loaded, plus massage and heat. This option is great for those who want a truly elevated reclining experience, or for those who want to get the most out of their chair.

When you see that sea of recliners at your local Steinhafels - relax. We’ve got you covered whether you want manual or power reclining, and everything in between.
